MailChimp Rating and Lead Scoring in Sugar

As you use MailChimp, you'll notice in your lists there are star-ratings for each of your subscribers. The more engaged your subscribers are the more stars they will have. If they are Leads who haven't purchased your product or service, The more stars they have, the more likely they are to be ready to buy or at least ready for a follow up call. If you're looking at current customers, the more stars they have, the more likely they may want to buy another product or would be great to reach out to for a customer review.

In SugarChimp Professional, we pull-in the MailChimp member rating score as an integer on your Contacts/Targets/Leads modules. It will be a 0-5 number represented by 0 to 5 stars in your views. You can read more about how MailChimp calculates the member rating score.

When you install SugarChimp Professional, the mailchimp_rating_c field is created on the Contact, Targets and Leads module. The MailChimp Rating field is added to you Detail View and Record View automatically. After installation, if you go to a Contact, Target or Lead you should be able to see the field. Everyone will be initially defaulted to a 2-star rating score as this is what MailChimp defaults everyone to. You can queue a MailChimp to Sugar Re-sync to and once it finishes running, all of your member ratings from MailChimp will be updated in Sugar and will be kept up-to-date going forward. Anytime a subscriber opens your emails and clicks links, it will boost their rating score.
