#1009 - SugarChimp Activity incomplete

Closed Bug? created by Txesku 9 years ago

Hi,

I've installed the SugarChimp plugin in an OD instance of SugarCRM, version 7.2.2.2.

Everything seems to work fine, but the SugarChimp activity is not complete in SugarCRM. We have sent a test campaign through MailChimp to subscribers that were synced from Sugar and we can see some of their activity with the emails received, but not everything. Two of the subscribers have opened the email and one of them has clicked the link, but we can't see the 'open' and the 'click' activity in SugarCRM.

These activities were correctly registered in MailChimp. Do you have any clue about this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Francesc

Hi Francesc, I can help with this.

    A couple things to check:

    1) Have you setup the Subscriber Activity dashlet yet? Follow the steps for Sugar 7 here: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/view-mailchimp-data-in-sugar

After doing this go to the contact in Sugar who you sent the email to and see if the activity shows up in the dashlet.

    2) Since you're using SugarChimp Professional you have the SugarChimp Activities module. If you go to the SugarChimp Activities module in Sugar are any records showing up? Sometimes the scheduler on Sugar's on-demand servers take a while to fully run. When did you send the test campaign? Was it sent more than 30 days ago?

    Thanks!

      Hi,

thank you for your quick answer.

      Following with your questions:

      1) Yes, I've setup the Subscriber Activity dashlet and, in the contact record I can see all his activity with this campaign (send, open, click...) 2) Yes, I've took a look to this module and, there is where I can only see part of the activities. For instance, the 'open' activity was done more or less at the same time by the two subscribers but I can only see one. The emails were sent this morning, and the SugarChimp scheduler is being executed every 2 minutes in our OD instance.

      Thanks,

      Francesc

      Thanks for the info.

I'd highly recommend you change the SugarChimp scheduler back to running every 5 minutes. It's optimized to run every 5 minutes.

Would it be possible to send me your Sugar log and a few screenshots to support@sugarchimp.com? You can find the log in Admin > System Settings at the bottom there is a "View Log" link, click that, then click the "All" button and send me the contents of the log. You can copy/paste it into a text file and attach it if it's easier. This may give us some clues.

Also, in the SugarChimp Activities module, did all of the "send" activities for your test campaign show up?

      Thanks!

We were able to resolve this over email. It appears the Sugar scheduler was a bit backed up, but once it was able to catch up everything synced as expected.

I'm going to close this case for now. Feel free to comment or open a new case if you see new issues. Thanks!
