#1127 - Mass contact synchronisation impact

Closed General Question created by synolia Verified Purchase 10 years ago
Hello, We would like to know the impact of a mass (10.000 + ) contacts synchronisation on our server. Have you done tests to measure the impact? If not, could you tell us the method used for the synchronisation so we can try and estimate the server load ourselves? I would like to thank you in advance for any details you might have regarding this point. Best regards, Synolia Support

    Hello, good questions.

We have tested this, and the impact is minimal. It will mostly depend on what server hardware sugar is running on. We have had clients sync over 100k contacts without any issues.

SugarChimp is optimized with overall system impact in-mind. We built in our own scheduler throttling so that it doesn't try to do too much at once, but syncs over time without interrupting the system.

Definitely let me know if you have other questions. Thanks!
