#1738 - Manifest Issues

Closed Installation created by willfreeborn 9 years ago

Hi there,

I've been unable to install the SugarChimp module to Sugar 7 as there is a recurring manifest problem for the package. The installer states the package does not contain a manifest.

Cheers

    Hi Will,

Just hopping in so that you don't have to wait until the work week. Sugar is very picky about the zip file that gets uploaded and this error happens when some browsers automatically download and extract zip files. The easiest way to get this to work is to use a different browser and then make sure to save the downloaded file in it's original zip file. It cannot be extracted. There are ways to tell your browser not to auto extract if you would rather not do that. Usually Safari auto extracts zip files.

Then when you upload the file to the Module Loader in Sugar make sure that you upload the original zip file.

Hope this helps! Jason Eggers SugarOutfitters

      Hi Jason,

Just letting you know it's an instance problem and not module specific.

      Cheers,

      Will

Were you able to figure it out then? If so, what did you have to do to make it work? Was it a PHP setting for file upload size?

Not sure yet; doesn't seem to be related to file upload size. Could possibly be an error with Sugar's php file scanner as it extends to packages which have already been installed. Waiting on the support team to reply, given OnDemand doesn't offer a whole lot of functionality regarding fixing the problem.

Interesting. Do keep us in the loop. We have a large number of On Demand installs so perhaps one of their servers got misconfigured. Other possibility is file permissions, but of course this would be out of your control.

    Hey Will,

I wanted to follow up and see if you were able to get anything going with your upload. I can tell you that our other customer that was experiencing the same 'Module Loader' issues has since been resolved by Sugar. I'm hoping that everything on your end is fixed up as well. Let me know how it's going for you!
