#2020 - Migrating Sugar 6.5 CE to Sugar 7 ENT - SugarChimp License
We are migrating our Sugar install in our internal network and we may have two instances working in parallel for two or three weeks. It would help us if you can allow module installation on both instances - is it possible?
Thank you

Hi Rebecca, glad to hear you're making the jump to Sugar 7!
In this particular case we can allow this. You should now be able to install SugarChimp and use the same license for the time being.
Be sure to download and install the latest package for Sugar 7 from your orders page here: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/orders
Let us know how the migration goes and if there's anything SugarChimp-related we can help with. Thanks!

Thank you Chad!!
There is one more thing you can help us with - do you have by any chance list of IP addresses that we need to whitelist for MailChimp to be able to communicate to our new Sugar instance?

Sure thing :) I don't have the answer to that one. I would reach out to MailChimp support. They'll have the most accurate answer to that.
Here's their recommendation for the email side of things: http://mailchimp.com/about/ips/ - but it may be different for the API calls and webhooks we use to communicate with MailChimp.

Hi Chad
We have tight security around what is publicly available and our Sugar instance is closed to public access.
Install went fine with both SugarChimp and MailChimp connectivity. Under admin panel it says this hook must be publicly available: https://gr-sugar-41.lightspeed.com/index.php?module=SugarChimp&entryPoint=SugarChimpWebhook
This hook is used by SugarOutfitters or MailChimp? How can we get list of IPs that we can white list here? For MailChimp API I found that https://*.api.mailchimp.com for outbound connections should be allowed but I'm more concerned about the inbound ones as we have strict firewall here.

Got it, that's understandable.
For inbound requests (MailChimp to Sugar), you'll need to make sure MailChimp's servers are able to access the URL you see on the SugarChimp Health Status page (the link to your sugar instance you listed above). This is needed so as things happen in MailChimp (unsubscribes, new subscribers, updates, etc) MailChimp will send the data via that URL. I do not know the exact IP or URL for these requests MailChimp send, my guess is it is the https://*.api.mailchimp.com URL, but you could ask MailChimp to be sure.
For outbound requests (Sugar to MailChimp), you're correct with the https://*.api.mailchimp.com URL. That's what's needed in order for your Sugar instance to communicate with MailChimp. The only other outbound request is for SugarOutfitters licensing. Make sure your server can make outbound requests to https://www.sugaroutfitters.com - this way it will know the software license is valid and allow the product to function.
Let me know if you need anything else on this. Thanks!

You're quite welcome :) And that means a lot, thanks!
I'm going to close this case out, but definitely let us know if you need anything else.
