#2807 - Syncing two independant records with same email address?

Hi,
I have an issue where independent records on SuiteCRM for both husband and wife, but with a joint email address, eg familyname@xyz.com have synced to one record, and then on the write back to Suite, have overwritten the data on one record with the other persons name data.
Can you advise a workaround for this as this is obviously not a good solution where perfectly good independent records are being merged.
