#2826 - Duplicate Contact created

Closed Bug? created by thdillinger 7 years ago

Hello, we have a customer using Sugar PRO 7.8 and Mailchimp. Can forward the licence info privately if needed. They use Sugarchimp to Sync a targetlist, using the sync fields Email address, First Name, Last Name, Salutation, Language. They create customers in Sugar and plan to sync them to Mailchimp, which works fine. From time to time, these contacts are then duplicated in Sugar. The original Contact records holds a lot of fields, and the one created somehow automatically holds only Email, First Name, Last Name, Salutation, Language. It seems it gets created by Sugrchimp. But as the Email address is the same, should this not prevent duplication? Thank you for advising, Thomas

    Hello Thomas,

I'm sorry for the trouble. There should certainly be a check in place that keeps duplicates from being created in your CRM. Because this is such a rare situation, I'd like to get on a call to go over the possibilities together. Schedule a support call to get the quickest feedback on your issues.

    Thanks, Jon

Primary Email not Marked on Import

We were able to find the issue related to the above bug in Sugar that has since been fixed. You are going to use Mass Update as suggested in the forum to mark all emails as primary. This should clear up any more issues happening. Let us know if you find anything else related with this case. Thanks!
