I read these on line before I contacted you. Your website suggested opening up a case if I needed additional information than this. Is more help available?
For example,
How do I make it possible for a Lead and Contact field to hold two or more values from a drop down list?
I understand that SugarChimp allows you to synch contacts and leads to multiple MailChimp Groups within a master list. To set up, I need to create contact and lead fields in Sugar to hold the MailChimp Group identifiers. If a Lead or Contact may belong to one or more Mail Chimp Groups, I need to figure out a way to hold that information in a Sugar field.
Thanks again.
Linda
You are exactly correct. So, basically, you need to create a field in Sugar that represents your 'Groups' in MailChimp. You can do this through admin > Studio. This field can be called anything you like. It needs to be a MultiSelect field in Sugar, and the Group needs to be a 'checkbox' type to allow multiple selections on a single record. Then, you will need to tie that Sugar field to a new dropdown list that contains the Groups that you have in MailChimp. This is very important, as the dropdown options must be EXACTLY the same as your Groups in MailChimp.
Once the field is created and tied to the dropdown, you can go back into Field Mapping and sync that Sugar field to the MailChimp Group. You will just do continue, and then save. Since it sounds like those Groups are already populated with data in MailChimp, you will want to save and queue a resync from MailChimp to Sugar. That will take the Groups in MailChimp, and put them on that multiselect field in Sugar.
it will take more work in Studio to figure out how you want to display that field on the record views, but that's a little out of our scope. If you would like to get more hands-on training, we offer a Setup and Training package for $499 that includes two separate one-hour training where we walk you through the basics of the integration and how to do more advanced things like Group syncing and automation.
Let me know if you have any more questions or are interested in the training.
This is one of the more difficult pieces to the Group syncing, as most people tend to choose to unsubscribe from everything when they do it. You must be diligent in letting your subscribers know how they can change their preferences opposed to unsubscribing. Let us know if you need anything else. I'm going to close this case out, but you can always respond here or create a new case if you have any more syncing issues.

Hello,
I'm happy to help, as it can be one of the more detailed parts of the integration! First, you'll need to get the field mapping basics down with that document: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/sync-sugar-fields-to-mailchimp Then, check out the specific Group syncing document: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/mailchimp-groups-dropdowns-radio-buttons
Let me know how it goes or if you have any questions after reading through the docs!

Hello Linda,
Have you been able to setup your Group syncing? Is there anything else I can help with?
Thanks, Jon

Yes thank you very much. Next project is to working on opting out of groups and not the entire master list.
