#3447 - Problems syncing Target list via SugarChimp to MailChimp

Closed General Question created by michelemannon 6 years ago

So for some reason I am struggling with my sync. It worked fine before I added some fields I needed to be included in the sync in Mailchimp. Can someone possibly help me? Seems to only sync a portion of my target list now.

    Hello Michele,

Typically this happens because a field is set as "required" in MailChimp but does not always have a value in SugarCRM (or is not mapped the way you expected). Check for required fields in MailChimp and go from there. If you cannot find anything, then the next step is to pinpoint one or two specific records in Sugar that are not getting to MailChimp. Then, we can get on a call together at your convenience to take a look and see exactly why those people are not making it. If it gets to that, schedule us a call to look at it together here: https://calendly.com/fanaticallabs/sugarchimp-support

    Thanks, Jon

Morning Jon, thanks for the quick response. So just to confirm I have my fields mapped in sugar (attached). Then also in MailChimp under my list (attached). However when I que a re-sync I still only get a portion of the 840 records in my Sugar Target List. So only 821 of the 840 records are syncing and they are NOT picking up the new fields I mapped. You may just need to schedule a call to walk me through what I am doing wrong. This is my first go at SugarChimp.

    Hello Michele,

Knowing that the numbers are around 98% conversion between lists, I would guess that nothing is wrong with the syncing process. We have a brief checklist of items that are typical of your sync numbers here: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/SugarChimp/my-sugar-and-mailchimp-list-counts-do-not-match

However, if you are not able to find something, you can definitely schedule a call for us here: https://calendly.com/fanaticallabs/sugarchimp-support

Once you setup a time on the calendar, I will update it with the credentials to call in or log on to the GoToMeeting. Let me know if you have any more questions or just schedule a call.

    Thanks! Jon

    Hello Michele,

I'm going to go ahead and close this case out. We were able to get on a call yesterday and re-sync the fields from Sugar to MailChimp to get them across. MailChimp was having some server delays that could've caused the issues we were seeing. Either way, I believe you will be good to go from here.

I'm going to look into getting the Assigned User Name instead of id mapped as well. I will let you know what we are able to do.

    Best Regards, Jon
