#3602 - "MailChimp to Sugar Sync Queued" forever

Closed General Question created by webdev1 6 years ago

hey guys,

we are trying the professional version. sugarchimp version is 7.11.0a, our sugarcrm version is 7.8.2.2. the url of our testing box is public accessible. sync from sugar to mailchimp is working fine. however, when i try select to synic the other way, it hanging on "MailChimp to Sugar Sync Queued" forever. Do you know what might be the problem?

Also, another question relate to it is, with our Production environment, we have set a middle server to add additional 3rd party authentication if the request is from outside of our company network. which means the send back URL will not work if directly get from site_url in config.php. We do have set an exception domain which can pass the middle server, but how could we let SugarChimp to change the send back URL to use the exceptional domain?

looking forward to hear back from you.

Best regards, Marc

    Hello Marc,

I apologize for the delayed response here, as we've been in Company-Wide meetings this week. I was able to respond to your message via email, so I'm going to close this case out here. However, I'll post my response in case anyone else has similar issues. I look forward to talking with you soon to resolve the stuck scheduler.

What could be holding the sync at MailChimp to SugarCRM sync queued? This job should be kicked off by your cron job, which should run pretty quickly. There is a chance that an errant job is failing or not running properly. Could you send over your sugarcrm logs by going to admin > Diagnostic Tools > execute and download. You will need to just send over the sugarcrm.log/suitecrm.log files, as our mail server will block any .zip file attachments.

Using a Proxy: The recommended way of handling a middle man server such as this would be to update each Webhook manually on the synced MailChimp Lists. Have the webhooks point to your middle server, and you should be good to go. In order to update your webhooks, you will need to log into MailChimp. Then, go to each MailChimp List that is syncing with Sugar. From the List go to Settings > Webhooks. Either edit the existing SugarCRM webhook to match the middle server, or create a new webhook that matches the middle server. Make sure you uncheck the "Cleaned" box if you create your own webhook.
