#3627 - Installation Issue

Closed Installation created by Auriga Inc 6 years ago

I have installed Sugarchimp for SuiteCRM to SuiteCRM Version 7.10.2. All processes were installed sucessfully. After installation, I click SugarChimp Configuration and see "Error 500, page is not working". Should I try SugarChimp for Sugar6 or Sugar7? Could you please help resolve the issue?

    Hello there,

I apologize for any issues you might be having. The package ending in "for-SuiteCRM" should work fine for you. It sounds like we may not have completed the installation successfully, even if SuiteCRM is telling us otherwise.

Is the 500 error only happening when you navigate to a SugarChimp page? Do you have access to the file system on the server? If so, can you email your apache or php log files over to support@sugarchimp.com so we can see what 500 error we were receiving from the server. That will give us a better idea of what is going wrong.

I look forward to helping you get this figured out soon.

    Kind Regards, Jon

The 500 error happens right after the installation process and when I click on Configurations.

      Hello,

Thanks for letting that information. Do you know if we will be able to access your php/apache logs to debug further that way? If not, we can schedule a call with whoever installed SuiteCRM on the server so we can figure out what has gone wrong on the SugarChimp installation.

Let me know how you want to proceed.

      Thanks! Jon

      Hello,

    Hello there,

We have received your email, but were out on Holiday on Friday. The php error logs could be configured to go anywhere on the server, but the default location is in:

    /var/log/apache2/

    or

    /var/log/httpd/

If you are unable to find the logs, we can get on a call together to look at the server. You can schedule a time with me here: https://calendly.com/fanaticallabs/sugarchimp-support

We will get you lined up.

    Thanks, Jon

    Hello again,

Looking over your email, I see that you are using Microsoft SQL server, which we have found a bug with recently. Can you download the latest version of our plug-in from your 'My Account' dropdown > Purchases page. Find the download ending with "for-SuiteCRM.zip" and install it over the previous version of SugarChimp on your server.

This should fix the SQL error that caused those pages not to load correctly. If it does not, then we can still get on a call to figure out what could be going wrong with your server.

Let me know what you find.

    Thanks! Jon

When looking at the logs, I am able to find two separate issues. - A php error that should not be happening. Our code does not have the error that is indicated from your error logs. This probably means that the file installed partially causing weird issues. Can you please email the file in question to me at support@sugarchimp.com (I replied to your email with more detail)

    • An error loading the MailChimp Activities. I would guess that this is a similar issue where the installation is corrupted and did not work correctly. Typically, this could be due to file permissions issues, so we recommend a script to run on your sugarcrm directory that will help to clean up any permissions problems. The script can be found here: https://shanedowling.com/sugarcrm-permissions-script

I believe we will need to fix the permissions, then re-install SugarChimp with that in place. Either way, can you please send over the file to see what is happening there?

    Thanks, Jon
