I am also wondering about compatibility with Sugar V 8.0. One of our clients has already been thru the health check for V 8.0 upgrade and gotten this error. It may be a PHP version issue. Any additional info much appreciated!

Hello everyone,
Thank you for raising the issues, I've got good news. We have released a version that is compatible with SugarCRM 8 and php 7.1. The newest release has been added to the stores and can be downloaded via your Purchases Page.
You will see the package ending with "for-Suga8.zip" available for download. It is safe to install into a Sugar7 environment as well, so you can put it install it now to be upgraded later if that is what you need.

Do we need to uninstall existing package and then install new one "or-Suga8.zip"? Or we can install new one by keeping existing one?

There is no need to uninstall the older version. You can simply install the "for-Sugar8.zip" package right over the top of the older one.
