#3826 - Target List with duplicate Emails

Closed Bug? created by redk - Professional Services BCN 7 years ago
HI Team, I have a target list in SugarCRM and by **SQL sentence** I get the list of Contacts than I want to sync in MailChimp. The SQL sentence gets 8 records but checking that Contacts in SugarCRM I see many **duplicate emails**. When the sync is completed, I check the target List in MailChimp and there is** only one synced Contact**. Is because the duplicate emails? I know that the email is the unique ID but I'm not sure about this behaviour. I hope you can help me. Thank you very much Beatriz Reviejo Business Analyst

    Hello Beatriz,

Thanks for reaching out on this. It sounds like you have described the issue. If there are 8 records in the crm with the same email address, only 1 record can get synced to MailChimp. It will behave as a 'last in' scenario, where the last record to get updated in SugarCRM will then update the MailChimp record. However, all activities such as opens, clicks, and unsubscribes will be related to the 8 Contacts inside of Sugar.

I hope that clarifies everything. Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks, Jon
