#4029 - Sugar Chimp marketing some primary emails as Invalid

Our sales rep is seeing a whole lot of contacts email address showing as INVALID (he hasn't activated this himself) and we assume sugarchimp will not import these to mailchimp as they are an invalid primary email?

Before sugarchimp used to show unsubscribes in sugar as OPTOUT with a symbol. We assume that sugarchimp will not import those emails marketd optouts this even though it is a primary email in the Account?

Can you please confirm what sugarchimp does to the sugar email record if someone unsubscribes in mailchimp.

If it is to make the email invalid, this is a big problem and means the rep cannot generate email lists direct from sugar to his primary contacts (while they may have opted out of the mailchimp list, he still needs to use this email to contact them on other matters.)

Please advise.

    Hi Viktoria,

    Thanks for reaching out. You are correct that when an email is unsubscribed from a Mailchimp list, the subscriber is marked as opted out in Sugar. However, if an email is marked as cleaned in Mailchimp, that email is then marked as Invalid in Mailchimp.

    Can you take a peek on the Mailchimp side at one of these records to see if they are marked as invalid and if the contact has had any bounces? Additionally, can you tell me about how many records have been marked as invalid?
