#4363 - SugarChimp Tables
Working with a customer to reduce the size of their Sugar database. Is it possible to remove or truncate the data in sugarchimpactivity, sugarchimp_mc_activity, and sugarchimpactivity_prospects tables without harming the system or existing functionality?
Thanks

Thanks for reaching out. The sugarchimp_mc_activity table is responsible for holding activities waiting to process into Sugar so they can be viewed within a record. This table shouldn't get long and stay that way. Can you tell me how many records are currently on this table?
The sugarchimpactivity and sugarchimpactivity_prospects tables are both needed in order to see Mailchimp activities within Sugar. If these tables are too long, we have a configuration to delete activities after a certain amount of days to prevent this table from getting too large. If that's something you'd like to do, I'm including the instructions below:
Please let me know if you have any questions.

sugarchimpactivity 5.2 GiB sugarchimp_mc_activity 2.4 GiB - sugarchimpactivity_prospects 2.2 GiB
This is on a Sugar Professional (15GB) instance.

Thanks for this. In regards to the sugarchimp_mc_activity, can you tell me if these are old records? Can you also send the license key to mailchimp@fanaticallabs.com so I can take a closer look at their account?
For those other tables, were you able to update the remove_activities_after_days config to lower the number of days activities are saved? That should reduce the size of those tables.
Thanks, Heidi

Hi Heidi -
I sent you an email as requested to provide the license key you asked for. Please let me know of that helped.

Hi Fred,
Thanks for sending that along. Can you tell me if the records within the sugarchimp_mc_activity table are old or new records? Also, do you know if the remove_activities_after_days config was able to be lowered?

Just following up here since we chatted with Fred through email. It looks like Sugar was able to assist us in reducing these tables.
Please let me know if you have any further trouble.
