#691 - Installation Not Completing - Now Data Read-Only!
While trying to follow the instructions the screen appeared that said it would automatically redirect after it was finished. However, this screen never redirected and we tried a couple of times. We also tried deleting the package and re-downloading it to try again. No luck. Now it has come to our attention that after doing so we can no longer add or edit opportunities or leads in the normal SugarCRM software. So we are officially dead in the water after trying to install a trial of your software. Please help!!!

Hi there, this sounds like you may have permission issues on your install. SugarChimp doesn't include anything that would affect a system like this. Give this link a look to verify that your permission are set correctly: http://support.sugarcrm.com/04_Find_Answers/02KB/02Administration/100Install/Required_File_System_Permissions_on_Linux/
Would you be able to take screenshots of the installation process and provide a sugarcrm log file? You can email those to me at support@sugarchimp.com
Thanks!

I can provide you screenshots. I am not sure where the SugarCRM log is saved. We are hosting with Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.0 so Linux instructions wont work.

Here's a link to the windows instructions: http://support.sugarcrm.com/04_Find_Answers/02KB/02Administration/100Install/Required_File_System_Permissions_on_Windows_With_IIS/
Here are some other links that may be helpful: http://support.sugarcrm.com/04_Find_Answers/02KB/02Administration/100Install/
The log file can be found in the main sugarcrm folder. it's usually named sugarcrm.log.

I made sure the permissions were correct according to your documentation. Still the problem exists. I submitted the screenshots and log to you via the email address you provided.

I just responded to your email. Let's finish the conversation over email. I will follow up back here once everything is resolved. So far it looks like the issue is from a previous customization. Thanks!

Closing the case. We found that the customer was using PHP 5.2.
PHP 5.3 or greater is required to run SugarChimp.
Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
