#693 - weird issue with SuiteCRM 7.1.1 and SugarChimp 7.0.11 - Issue doesn't happen with SugarChimp 3.1.31 but we have trouble with syncs
Hello, We are using SuiteCRM version 7.1.1 with the SugarChimp module to integrate with MailChimp. When we install the latest version of SugarChimp - 7.0.11 was the last one I tried - we have a blank screen pop up when we view sections of SuiteCRM. For example, the Accounts section. A blank white screen pops up and nothing on the page can be worked with. I know a blank white screen is indicative of a PHP error. But when we revert to an older version of SugarChimp, version 3.1.31 the white screen issue goes away.
We would be fine with using 3.1.31 except we are experiencing an issue getting the contacts to sync. Our cron job settings have the sync job running every hour. We have lists to sync with a thousand or so contacts and only a few will sync every hour. We've yet to get the entire list to sync.
Could you help us at all? Thanks much, Shane Wyman shane.wyman@revtrak.com

Hi Shane, thanks for reaching out and I apologize for the delayed response.
SugarChimp version 3 is not supported at all and did not work well. I'd highly recommend we try getting SugarChimp version 7 to work (7.0.14).
You're right that there's probably a PHP error occurring. When this happens, it's usually due to an old version of PHP being used. SugarChimp requires PHP 5.3 or higher. If you're on PHP 5.2 or lower, it will not work properly. Can you verify what version of PHP you're running? Also, can you check the PHP logs to see what notices/errors are being reported?
Thanks!

Hi Shane, I just wanted to check-in.
Have you found any clues?

Hi, We are running PHP 5.4. Would a screenshot help at all? Is SugarChimp 7.0.14 tested with SuiteCRM? Thanks,

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure a screenshot will help right now. It has been tested with SuiteCRM, so I guess we need to keep digging on this one.
If you're seeing white screens, there is some sort of error going on. Can you check your php logs to see what error is being reported?
You may also want to very that the proper file permissions are setup on your SuiteCRM instance. You can see them here: http://suitecrm.com/wiki/index.php/Installation
