#652 - Optional characters in input mask
Hi
Please advise how to create an input mask with optional characters in it e.g. a phone number prefix could have between 2 and 4 characters.
If this is not possible then please refund asap as the product does not meet our requirements.
Thanks

Hello Phil,
You can specify optional part with bracket [] like by example: 999 999 9999[-9999]

Hi Guys - I have just tested and still struggling with this.
I'm trying to load a mask for the E164 international phone number format. Having no success with pattern:+[99]9([99]9)[9]999-[9]999 which is intended to allow optional 2 chars at front of country code, optional 2 chars at front of area code, and then optional chars to allow for 6 or 8 digit local number.
The mask isn't allowing data entry of what I would have thought were legit numbers e.g. +1 415 444 5555 for US or +64 7 888 9999 for NZ Any thoughts on whether I have an error in the mask of if you know of a better way to handle this phone format?
Thanks
Phil

Hello Phil,
You are right, it's not currently supported in our released version. That is on our features list for a next major release.
