Address Helper currently uses external address autocomplete Apis. You can select one based on their capabilities or prices (most offer a free plan).

#4351 - Does This Work With Custom Address Fields?
We have several module customizations that added address fields that are currently in the form of multiple TextArea-type fields. I was considering transforming those into Address-type fields, but am not clear if your statement in the [How To Use doc](https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/addresshelper-for-sugar/how-to-use), “Important: Addresses fields must be Sugar standard ones” , means that it only works on delivered, OOTB fields or works with any fields using the standard Address-type field.
