#2577 - Microsoft Sync Framework 2.0 is not installed

Closed Bug? created by mattmiers 8 years ago

Hello,

We have Implicit for SuiteCRM on 2 machines and it is working great. On one machine however, it gives an error when opening up outlook. It says "Microsoft Sync Framework 2.0 is not installed . Please contact your system administrator". What is the fix for this and why would it be happening on one machine and not another?

We are on trial and about to purchase in 2 days.

Thanks, Matt

    Hi Matt,

Microsoft Sync Framework (MSF) is one of the Microsoft prerequisites that we install prior to installing the FrontEnd add-in. It seems that the installation of MSF has failed on this machine. Please do the following:

    1. Uninstall FrontEnd from control panel
    2. Check your control panel if you have any of these two components installed and remove them if they are: a. Microsoft Sync Framework 2.0 Core Components b. Microsoft Sync Framework 2.0 Provider Services
    3. Run the FrontEnd installation again. It will detect that MSF is not installed and will prompt you to install it. Pay attention if there are any errors during the MSF installation.
    4. Once MSF is installed, the installer will proceed to install FrontEnd.
    5. If there are no errors this time, you should be fine. If there are any errors, let me know what they are and we’ll assist you in resolving them

    Regards,

    Ronnie
