#661 - Sequencing Add-on
Hi,
I would like to know before purchasing your Sequencing Add-on. I am currently using Sugar CRM version 6.5 Professional Edition on-site and I know your Sequencing add-on will compatible with my version. My question is in the future I plan to upgrade my version to 7.2 on-site and would like to know that this Sequencing add-on will come with the free upgrade or it will work with the new version or do I have to purchase it separately. Looking forward to your respond. Thanks

Hello,
yes there is right now a plan for upgrading the add-on into Sugar 7.2. However, right now, we can't promise, there will be a 100% compatible version for Sugar 7.2 on-demand. We discovered already some restrictions by the back-end working with the sequencing. For sure we will guarantee you a free upgrade, once we are finished!

Just curious. Does this add-on work for the Sugar CRM version 6.5 Professional Edit on-site or just on-demand? Because I am currently hosted on site. Looking forward to your respond. Thanks for your help.

Actually there is no difference right now for this add-on. Sugar 6.7 was the earliest on-demand solution, which is not supported by us. On-site is the preferred setup because of full administration. If you wish to install on-site, it will work. However, check your permissions of your web server, because the add-on will deploy new files, which must be read and executable.

One last thing. Does it work with Windows Platform?

We have no hosting clients of windows right now, but there is no special Linux code within the module. It is not using any shell commands or special character signs. Therefore there shouldn't be any issue at Windows (except file permissions).

Is there a Beta of this for 7.2 that we could assist with the testing of?

Hello liq,
I guess it might take two more weeks. We are waiting for SugarCRM sharing the 7.2 codebase with us. Once we received it, we can do our tests and can start a trial. Maybe we will host an own 7.2 environment for public testing, where you can assist us and leave your feedback.
