#3912 - Deploy filters of dashlet too
Hi, I have a question...after deployment of the dashboards... Could the user modify the filters of the dashlet via UI?
Currently SugarCRM 8 offers the option to deploy dashboards although the users can't edit the filters of the dashlets. They just see the charts of the dashlets but they can't edit the filters.

Thank you for your question. If I understand the question properly then the answer to your question is yes.
Our Dashboard product checks if the dashlet being copied uses a filter and if so copies the filter to the target user. From there the target user may change the filter as they wish but this would be a departure from the original copied dashlet. Unfortunately if the original dashlet's filter is updated then the copied data is not updated at the same time. I believe I looked at this functionality but ran into issues with overriding changes made by the end users.
The default version doesn't bring filters over during the copy process so any dashlet with a filter doesn't properly function.
