#530 - Issue with Installation

I have Validated the License key. It claims it worked and when I hit refresh nothing happens. How do assign users when I am not getting the user list to pop up. I am at Step 13. Thanks

    Follow up comment from Tracy:

    Just so you know I am getting this error: Administrator has disabled GSync for this user, contact administrator to enable it. What administrator. I am an administrator on Sugar and I also enabled it under the role management tab because it was disabled.

    The documentation was a bit confusing. I've updated the Sugar 6 installation guide to clarify that after Step 12 you need to go back to the Admin page and then to GSync User Configuration: https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/docs/gmail-sync/sugar6-installation-guide

    Hopefully this helps with this sticking point!

    Rolustech Support,

    I've been working with Tracy via email and found what appears to be an issue with the license checking. The install is Sugar 6.*, On-Demand and is using the Sugar_6+_GSync_onDemand_v1.8.zip package.

    Here is what I am seeing:

    • Every time she validates it correctly hits the license server and successfully validates.
    • However, the configure users page still shows that it needs to validate again.
    • Go back to validate and the key is still there so it is saving correctly.

    If I test Tracy's key on an On-Site install it works perfectly. I'm unsure at this point what is going on, but it can't get by the license check in view.configureusers.php for On-Demand. Although from a glance it seems possible that it is failing the initial _licensed_user_count check.

    Hopefully this additional info helps with debugging.

    I have done what you had said to do. However the problem still remains. I think the issue is that when I tell the previously installed package to delete, it does not. So, when I try to install the new one, it says that it has installed but there is no change to what was already present.

    We are having some strange behavior, that may in fact be normal. However we are wondering if we can turn these things off. The first annoying thing is: if we have both our Gmaill open and we open the sugarcrm email, all of our Gmail shows as read, even when it is not read. The other problem or annoyance is if we put something in our Gmail calendar we get a notification that we added this to our calendar from GSync. We know we added this to our calendar, we do not need an email notification telling us we created this. Please let me know if there are settings that we can change? Thanks, Tracy
