#1312 - Synchronisation Hangs
I am testing your plugin and having an issue where it is hanging when I click on an e-mail to archive. Does the synchronization do all contacts or just those on on the e-mail?
Please help as would like to get this working

Hi Jon,
It looks like the client side passed empty email id to our server. Could you let me know which browser are you using (model, version)? Also, what happens if wait about 5 seconds before pressing Archive?

Thanks for coming back to me.
Brower is Chrome Version is 42.0.2311.90 m
It takes a long time to load before giving me any options. The synchronisation starts automatically also.
This had stopped and didn't find any one and I clicked on Archive E-Mail - got the message 'All synchronization slots are busy. Please try again later.'
Can you also confirm when it synchronizes it only does those on the e-mail and not my contacts?

I confirm that when you press "Archive this Email" then only current email is archived, no contacts are processed. The issue with busy synchronization slots has been resolved. Could you retry again?

Not happy. It has just synced my entire Contacts list to the Company CRM system when you had told me above that it will only do the e-mail!!!
Having to delete all of my entered contacts.
Not sure I will be using this service if this is the issue I'm having with a trial! I have 10 persons in the organisation who will be using this service and do not want this happening with them

Hi Jon,
There are two tabs related to synchronization. First tab is Archiving, if you press 'Archive this Email' button on that tab you get the email archived (nothing more). Second tab is Synchronization. If you press 'Synchronize Contacts' button on it you get all your contacts synchronized.
I see the following lines in the log: 2015-04-27 21:29:18,312 jon...@...uk: @ Synchronization tab is active 2015-04-27 21:29:23,013 jon...@...uk: Synchronize Contacts requested
I've killed the sync process for contacts that was still executing.

I do not want my contacts synchronised to my CRM system just want to archive the e-mails. Is this possible?

Yes, do not use 'Synchronization' tab.

It has Archived my e-mail but scared to use the system as do not want all contacts to synchronise!

Do you think that additional confirmation prompt before contacts sync will improve usability? E.g. if 'Synchronize Contacts' is pressed by accident a user still have a chance to answer 'no' to confirmation question. Alternative way is to completely hide Synchronization tab based on some option in settings. What do you think?

To explain what we are using the plugin for - we are using SugarCRM but not everyone uses Outlook on a Desktop. We have a lot of users who are either using a Mac or Outlook 365 and the Sugar Plug-In does not work with these. All that we are wanting to be able to do is Archive any Client e-mails or Prospective e-mails.
We do not want to sync any contacts as the ones in our Address Books are personal. Having the option in Settings to switch off the Synchronisation button would be great
If we can get this working then it will be extremely useful for us - and also we have clients who are also using SugarCRM who would benefit if this plug-in was working perfectly.
I work for a Digital Sports Agency and are in the process of getting clients to take the CRM solution, and if they do then I will be pushing your plug-in as an option to have.
So back to the original question - Do I think it should be hidden? Yes I do

Thank you for the feedback. Making a perfect product is our primary goal and we listen to our customers. I'll let you know once the option to switch off contacts sync is available (a couple of days from now).

A question from one of the Sales Team: - Does the e-mail get archived against the Contact only? Is there a way of archiving against an Opportunity?
This is an option when using the Outlook Plugin but as he is a Mac User he cannot use this plugin - hence looking at your alternative

Hi Jon,
Emails are archived to Contacts, Accounts and Leads.
Archiving to Opportunities is also important but we do not support this yet in this product. This is in our todo list for future versions. We support automatic archiving of emails to Opportunities in our server-side sync product (AESync).

The add-in is stuck for 17 DAYS saying synchronizing. I can't archive a single email because the options are greyed out since it's synchronizing. This is a very buggy add-in. It's like you guys NEVER identify an issue.

We reset something in your account and you can try to synchronize, it should work. Unfortunately we can not identify why it gets stuck sometimes. If it happens next time please do not wait 17 days and let us know as soon as possible.
