#1850 - install on standalone Outlook 2016
hi, I just purchased the trial. I was expecting a download link but only see the key. I read the install instructions but only see an option to install through the Exchange server using the XML link etc. Is there a way to install on one Outlook 2016 client without going through the Exchange server?

Hi,
In any case installation is performed via the web interface. It is either Exchange Control Panel (if you are setting the plugin for multiple users) or Outlook Web Access (if you are setting just for personal use). Once you install it the plugin will appear in Outlook 2016 automatically.

hi Denis, our Exchange is hosted and our admin says we don't have the rights to add apps or access the Exchange control panel. Same thing for OWA - I can see installed apps, but can't edit/add to the list. Is there an option or version of your plug-in that I can install just locally on my desktop outlook?

ah ok - it looks like the first one is the one I want - how can I change my trial to that download? I assume I fill out the form - then this current /trial will automatically cancel?

You need to cancel the trial via sugaroutfitters. Then download the desktop Outlook AddIn from GrinMark website. You can request the trial license right from the AddIn after installation.

ok I de-activated the trial. I did the download, installed the add-in. When I go to Options->add-ins I can see it's installed but inactive. I then choose 'manage COM add-ins' and check the previously-unchecked box to activate it. No go. I exit, reboot, re-check - still not activated, no dialog box to get a key. What am I missing here? Should this really be that complicated?
