Hi,

Just as there has been no support for SugarCRM 8, there are no plans at the moment to support SugarCRM 9. MMR was supported with SugarCRM until version 7, and we are currently focusing on SuiteCRM support.

  what is SuiteCRM? So the non-support of SugarCRM8 and 9 leaves this product dead in the water and we can't upgrade? What are your recommendations?

  SuiteCRM is the fork created from the opensource version of SugarCRM, version 6.x. That version of the component can be found at https://store.suitecrm.com/addons/mail-merge-reports .
  
  Alternatively, you can try one of the SugarCRM components with similar features to MMR, such as https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/addons/synogeneratedoc or https://www.sugaroutfitters.com/addons/docparser.

I'm not sure I understand that last sentence. We need a commercially available and supported solution. Doesn't sound like you are going down that path :(
