#4021 - Installation stops at 80%
Hey guys,
I have been facing issues installing the plugin in sugarcrm version 8.0.2. It was working previously until I did a deployment.
This is what I did. 1. I do a deployment and I was not able to find the plugin in the Admin module for configuration. 2. I went to module loader and uninstalled the plugin. I found the previous version for 7.9 there which I uninstall again. Both uninstalls successful 3. Now I upload the package for version 8 and the installation gets stuck as in the image below. This is on our test instance. I believe this will happen in our production as well. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Ram,
Thanks for reaching out. To install a newer version of SugarChimp, you shouldn't need to uninstall prior versions. Common reasons installation may stop at 80% include file permissions issues or Elasticsearch Index Failure. Assuming you have addressed file permissions, can you try to reindex your full-text search using the steps in the support article below?

Hi Ram,
My apologies. I see now that you're working with Fanatically Zen, not SugarChimp as I had previously sent. Sorry for that confusion. I'm including an updated support article below:

The most common reason installation sticks at 80% is the need to reindex your full-text search. The directions to doing this can be found in the support article above, but please let me know if you still encounter any further trouble.

Hello Heidi,
Scheduling a reindex fixed the problem. The main reason I had to reinstall is that I was not able to see the plugin config options in the admin module after we do a deployment. We do deployments every month and every time I have to reinstall Sugarchimp and Zendesk plugin to make it visible in the admin module. But I can say that plugin is working in the background after deployment and is only a UI issue.
Could you advise on how we could avoid reinstallation after each deployment?
Thanks, Ram

Hi Ram,
Thanks for this response and I'm glad that reindexing resolved the issue.
When you complete your deployments, do you do a repair and rebuild directly after deploying?

Hi Heidi,
We do a repair rebuild everytime after we deploy.

Just wanted to close the loop here. It looks like the need to re-install was due to missing some files during the deployment process. This issue should now be resolved for you, but let me know if you still have trouble.
