Allow users to have detailed "discussions" pertaining to any Record/Module (e.g., Opportunities, Accounts, Cases, etc) within Sugar. Functioning similar to a Twitter stream, any user can "Follow" a conversation that pertains to a record in Sugar allowing them to view and post comments within an on-going dialog.

#732 - Disabling Chitter

Closed General Question created by ryan.zemmer 10 years ago

I have paid for and used Chitter for months and LOVE IT. Unfortunately, we currently have Sugar 6.5 and need to upgrade to Sugar 7. Sugar CRM is telling me that i have to remove Chitter. I have two questions. Do you have a version of Chitter for Sugar 7 we can continue to use after the upgrade? Is there anyway i can keep the data we have entered into Chitter? thank you!

Chitter is for Sugar 6 only and is not available for Sugar 7. Sugar 7 has activity streams which provides similar functionality. When you uninstall chitter; the data will remain in the database. However, there will be no user interface to access the information without direct database access.
