#453 - [Caso:3513] Print to PDF
Hi, just purchased your module and installed on my CentOS server. Followed your instructions for the installation of the Libre Office cde package and the Generate PDF button appears. I have chown the /usr/local/bin/cde-libreoffice-pdf/ directory to my apache user and group and have checked a number of the files/folders in the directory. When I press the Generate PDF button I get the following message in Adobe Acrobat Pro
Acrobat could not open GEN-564515614.pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)
Any assistance greatly appreciated

Could yo send us generated pdf file? (to soportesigi@izertis.com) Check if pdf file size is 0.
Is your CentOS server virtualized? We know that there are problems with virtual servers with cde package

Yes to the server being virutalized and I sent the PDF output to the reply address of the email you sent me. Do you have a workaround for virtualized servers? Do you require any further information regarding my server setup?
Thanks for your time and patience

Sorry, but virtual servers are not a certified environment for now to use the cde package. You can install directly LibreOffice in your server instead of use the cde package, and link the pdf generation to the LibreOffice installation.

Does it require a COMPLETE installation of LibreOffice? We have some size/space constraints...
Thanks for your time and patience

Hi, do you have an answer to my previous query, the installation requires 1.5Gb of spare space, can we install a subset of Libre Office e.g. JUST the word processor application, or does your module require the COMPLETE suite of applications?
Thank you for any assistance you can give me

Just the word processor (writer), but we don't know if this is possible, not tested. Take a look at this entry (for example) http://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18197

Thank you, I will try installing LibreOffice Writer ONLY and get back to you with the results. On another topic, I have created a report based on Projects and Project tasks. One of the fields included was/is the ID field from the Project Tasks related table, unfortunately when the report is generated the tasks aren't in any particular order. Do I need to create a calculated field document to get the tasks to display in the correct order? and can you dynamically style a row? e.g. if the project task is a milestone font color = red
Thanks for your time and patience

Order rows: yes, you can order rows using calculated fields events. You have two examples in custom/modules/Opportunities/DHA_DocumentTemplatesCalculatedFields.php : - function OrderRows (event) - Order main module rows example - function BeforeMergeBlock (event) - Order rows example for submodule data

Format style dynamically: No, directly ... there is no easy way to do this, and this can be considered an advanced technique. You need to create a new calculated field and then generate the internal xml of the document for this field. Also you need to declare this field in the template with param "strconv=no" to do this (example: [a.name_cond;strconv=no] ) ... try to search info about office open xml reference (Office documents)
