#1156 - Creating an account when detected as duplicate ignores groups

We're running SuiteCRM 7.1.4 on the lamp stack with the paid version of security suite v2.8.1. If I create an account and it's detected as a duplicate, then proceed to create the account anyway, it ignores any of the groups selected and creates the account without groups.

      My guess is this would also happen in other modules with the duplicate functionality. Thanks.

      Yes, this is a known limitation due to how Sugar handles duplicates. SecuritySuite does catch the issue and displays an error at the top of the page after saving the record that says:

      "Due to a possible duplicate detected by Sugar you will have to manually add Security Groups to your newly created record."

      However, the issue is that users who create the record may not be able to see the record after saving it due to the duplicate issue. I'm considering workarounds for this issue right now to solve that.
