#1220 - Module denies non admin users access to create records
This is a high priority production issue. For some reason a custom module will allow me as administrator to create a new record and save it, but tells the users they do not have access to the area and to contact their administrator and redirects them to the home page when they try to save the new record.
I've checked the role permissions, and all users have the ability to create a record in this module. It was working fine under the old version, but we just upgraded to the latest suitecrm release and upgraded to your latest release. Testing did not reveal this issue until it went into production. PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi Derek,
There is a new Create right in the recent versions. Run a Repair Roles and then in each role set the Create rights to All in your case. The repair should do the trick.

I did that before I opened a support ticket....

I hate to suggest it again, but can you do that to humor me? That has solved this exact issue every time so far. Running Admin->Repair Roles fixes the roles in the database so that the Create rights are populated so that users get granted the correct permissions. Also make sure that prior to that your SecuritySuite version matches your SugarCRM version.
If that still doesn't work then I can reach out via email and we'll figure this out.

I did that at your suggestion, but i've already done it 7 times today with no avail. I've tried almost everything. Works under my login (admin privileges) and now it seems to be working if i login as another user through the security suite, but they get the same error at their workstation. Im having them reboot and try again - i doubt that will work, but at this point I'm trying to exhaust every option. My next step is to reboot the web server....

I have no idea why, but a reboot of the users computer seems to have solved the problem....go figure. I'll keep you updated if it doesn't resolve it for others.

Was just going to say, try logging out and then back in as the user. Permissions for a user get cached at login so any changes (or a repair roles) would require the user to log out and then back in.
Keep me posted, please!

Just doing some housekeeping. Feel free to follow up on this if you have any other questions.

Need some help with this same issue. A non-admin user is not able to access one of the modules. I have done the following for 6.5.14 1. Complete access rights are granted 2. Cleared cache. 3. Repaired Roles. 4. Rebooted system multiple times.
Please help.

The Create rights wasn't introduced in the 6.5.14 version so that won't be it. If a non-admin doesn't have rights then go to the user's user record and click on the Access tab. See what the grid shows there. Address any issues there as it may be inheriting permissions from both roles directly assigned to the user and roles assigned to all groups assigned to the user.
