#818 - Group selection panel setting to default to parent record's group(s)
For example, if I'm creating a new contact within an account, I would like to have the group selection panel default to the parent record's security groups instead of having all the groups selected by default. This would be huge for us because we have quite a few data entry errors of users not selecting the proper groups. Thanks.

This is now available in the latest SugarCRM CE 6.5.24, SuiteCRM 7.6.6, and SuiteCRM 7.7.0 releases. It will default to the parent groups that the user is a member of.
