#1643 - Problems on installation

Closed Bug? created by joseblas1 Verified Purchase 9 years ago

I can't see the dashlets after installing Security Suite Full Version, I had the free version installed previously and everything worked fine.

I see this error message in the home page instead of the dashlets:

Fatal error: Call to a member function isOwner() on a non-object in /home/podsystem-sugarcrm/public_html/modules/SugarFeed/SugarFeed.php on line 360

Another problem I see is missing labels in the Admin UI interface for the module, see screenshot:

missing module labels in Admin panel

Thanks.

I have done some research and the problem seems to the activity stream, if I disable it the dashboard home page will load all the dashlets (bar activity stream sure), enabling the stream will lock again the homepage and only the error message is displayed:

Fatal error: Call to a member function isOwner() on a non-object in /home/podsystem-sugarcrm/public_html/modules/SugarFeed/SugarFeed.php on line 360

OK, I had a clean reinstall of suitecrm and after uploading the securitysuite files again I can see the homepage dashlets.

The other problem with the labels missing still happening. I think it's something wrong with my "method" of installing modules or my setup. Could someone please help?

Just to verify as there were changes to SecuritySuite in the SugarFeed, which SecuritySuite zip file did you grab?

To fix the labels try going to Admin then Repair and then Quick Repair and Rebuild. That should rebuild the strings for you.

    Hi Jason,

    The file version was 6.5.20_SecuritySuite_Full-Edition_v2.9.0.zip

I have tried to repair and no luck, the strings are still missing. I have disabled Russian and Spanish from the languages available in our instance. Some strings are showing and some are not, please have a look at the screenshot:

I'm sending over a patch within the hour to your email for the isOwner issue. That'll also put the language files back in place.

Something weird happened. I installed the patch and the strings appeared but they were in Spanish, I log out and in again and they were gone. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the module again but the strings are missing.

The dashlet problem is definitely not there anymore, thanks for that!

I believe you, but that doesn't make sense. To be safe, can you try a Repair & Rebuild again and then restart Apache (just in case something is stuck in an opcode cache)? There is also a chance that there is some sort of file permission issue around the language strings. Clearing that up and then going through the above steps again may also help. Here's a nice script to fix permissions: http://shanedowling.com/sugarcrm-permissions-script
