Control what your users can access and save time, money, and frustrations. Lock down sensitive data in SugarCRM or SuiteCRM to specific groups or teams. Supports unlimited assigned users, unlimited group assignments to records, custom layouts for each group, login/sudo capabilities and much more.
Is this for a user who is in multiple groups with custom layouts? If so, it'll grab either the first layout it finds or it will use the Primary Group layout. You can set the Primary Group for a user by going to that Security Group and then in the Users subpanel find the user and click edit. Check the Primary Group checkbox and then save.
If you're not in any group then you continue to see the Default group. If you are wanting to do this for testing purposes then I recommend putting yourself in that group temporarily to be able to see that custom view.
The Primary Group checkbox is a field on the relationship. Go to that Security Group record (go to Admin->Security Group Management and then to the group that you want to do this for). Then in the Users subpanel click edit for the user that you want to set as primary. This is only needed if a user is in multiple groups.
