#1925 - Lead Convert Issue - Part II

In Progress Bug? created by jeffray.int 8 years ago

Below is the scenario that I encountered. Please clarify.

User Drake belongs to Security Group A , B and C. All of the 3 groups are set as non inheritable to Drake. Drake creates a lead and assigns group A to the the lead in the Security group panel . Drake converts the lead into Contact and Account. But Contact and Account does not inherit the group A of the Lead. Why is this happening. ( Note : Inherit from parent record is checked in Security suite settings ) . Should not contact and account inherit group a from the lead.

Thanks and Regards, Jeffray

    Hi Jeffray,

I'm going to test this scenario out and get back to you. What are all the inheritance settings that you have configured?

I'm considering adding an option where you can decide in the special case to inherit only the groups associated to the lead or follow the normal inheritance rules. Would this be sufficient for your needs? Based on what you are trying to do it seems like it would solve the problem that you are facing.
