#2313 - Use Creator Group Select default selections
Is it possible to have the "Use Creator Group Select" have the parent's record security group selected by default instead of all the current user's groups?
Our problem is if the user has many groups and is creating a record under an account, by default, all of the user's groups are selected in the panel and he/she has to remove the ones that shouldn't be there. Unfortunately, many times the user forgets to do so and other users now have access to something they shouldn't. This feature would eliminate many problems for us. Thanks.

They use to send an email blast which I was on (maybe they still do) but now I only know by going on their website. The roadmap said July and one forum post mentioned today. So I'm guessing any day now.

This is now available in the latest SugarCRM CE 6.5.24, SuiteCRM 7.6.6, and SuiteCRM 7.7.0 releases. It will default to the parent groups that the user is a member of.

One quick note, the new SuiteP theme in SuiteCRM v7.7 does not have the file "themes/SuiteP/layout_utils.php" and that caused the SG settings page not to load because that file is referenced in "modules/SecurityGroups/config.php" on line 35. I copied it from another theme to solve the issue.

Email works best. I believe you have my email still. There has to be a better way for me to track this though. SourceForge may have a way to watch for releases.
