#2643 - Group permissions not applying for reports on SuiteCRM 7.7.6!

Closed General Question created by it12 8 years ago

Dear Sirs,

Recently I was trying to setup group permissions with Reports for SugaCRM CE by Richlode Solutions add-on that we are using and I was not able to got it work. When I set owner or all, I can limit user to see their own reports or everyone can see all reports, but not if I have group of more users that I would like to share reports with.

According to access level overview, everyone is part of that group, and they have list, view and edit rights set to "group" value but it's like I said, they cannot see each other reports, only "ownership" or "all" values are working.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,

Slaven.

When that happens that means that the module is not hooked up to Security Groups. I would suggest using the Hookup Tool under Admin -> SecuritySuite. If that still doesn't do the trick then Richlode Solutions will need to be contacted. However, I think that should do the trick.

Txs. I will try and hookup the module as you say. I have another issue, unfortunately, error_log is constantly filling up with SecurityGroup errors, sometimes the system is really slow.

I suggest turning off strict standards for now. This will be cleaned up in an upcoming release for PHP 7 support.

The Strict Standards issue has been addressed in an upcoming release. Support for PHP7 has also been added in the soon-to-be-released 2.9.5 version of SecuritySuite starting with SuiteCRM 7.7.9 and SugarCRM CE 6.5.24. If an upgrade to the latest version of either is not possible please feel free to contact me here or directly via email.
