#351 - Security Group Issue

Closed Bug? created by smeegama 10 years ago

Hi there,

We installed Security Group Basics on a SugarCRM CE 6.5.16 installation. Setup file and folder permissions as specified by Sugar.

However, Security Groups does not allow users to be selected for groups in the popup. You can see the list of users as clickable links. But when you click on them (or checkbox) select function does not select users.

Have you come across this issue before? Or could this be a permission issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Maybray Digital.

    Hello,

I moved this case to the SecuritySuite add-on area.

During install there was a permissions issue that didn't allow for some post-install hooks to run correctly. So SecuritySuite hasn't been disabled for the Ajax UI yet. Go to System Settings. Click on Configure AJAX User Interface. Then drag "Security Groups Management" over to Disabled Modules and Save.

You can also change the url to go directly to the groups list to /index.php?module=SecurityGroups which should help snap it out of Ajax UI mode.

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the quick response Jason,

Configure AJAX User Interface is blank; however the SecuritySuite is correctly installed.

Would this be a permission issue?

Did you add Security Groups Management in the Configure AJAX User Interface to the Disabled Modules list and save? Or are you saying the whole page is blank as in white? If white then yes, there is a permissions problem somewhere.

    Hi Jason,

Yes the the interface was white. I have reapplied permissions to /cache/custom/data/modules files and folders with 775/664 and it all back in action. Working perfectly.

Thanks for your help as always.
