#58 - Does the custom module security feature work with CE v6.1?

Closed Feature created by lavery 11 years ago

I'm running SecuritySuite 2.2.1 with CE 6.1 but want to leverage the custom module security feature. I don't see a premium download for the 6.1 version. Is this not compatible with CE 6.1?

This was added in 6.4.0 when the split to Basic/Premium was made. What version of CE are you on; 6.1.0, 6.1.1, 6.1.2...6.1.7? I might be able to back port it and send you a copy.

    lavery,

Check the downloads from your Purchases page for SecuritySuite_GA_2.2.1_for_610_hookup.zip. That will add the the Hookup Module option to the Admin area. It'll detect all custom modules not yet related to the Security Groups module. It took a little more work than I wanted to back port it so hopefully you are able to use it :)

Thanks. Been traveling and have not had a change to look a this until now. Downloaded it, installed it and it worked - sort of. Here is what happened. I installed ZuckerReports and it showed on the list of options in the Hookup. Added them and it worked. But, when I went to ZuckerReport and went to create a JasperReports template, i noticed that the JaseprReports Templates, New JasperReports Templates, Query Templates and teh New Query Template options under ZuckerReports did now show the secruity subpanel. Other features of ZuckerReports did. There is a secondary module that has to be installed with ZuckerReports named ZuckerReports2 - Jasper - 4.0.0. This module does not show up in the hookup dropdown as an option. This does not change even after i do the recommend repairs and rebulids. Now, to be fair, I installed the Jasper module after the hookup install, but i didn't think that would matter. Also, when I added the ZuckerReports in hookup it did not display on the access panel in User Management.

Any thoughts how to correct this?

So basically those other areas are also modules? Can you add a relationship to those modules as well? Otherwise, see if the ZuckerReports developers have a SecuritySuite plugin. I do know that KReports as of 3.0.4 supports SecuritySuite and that tool is an awesome reporting tool. So many capabilities with it.

I'm going to close this as the original issue has been corrected and the ongoing issue is related to a different module. Please do not hesitate to continue to use this case for more assistance. I'd love to see you get ZuckerReports working with SecuritySuite.
