Introduction

Draft Records is a plugin for SugarCRM that enables users to save records as drafts before actually saving them. This feature provides users with more flexibility and convenience when creating or editing records in SugarCRM, as they do not have to complete an entire record in one sitting or fill in all the required fields. Users can also avoid losing their data or cluttering their database with incomplete records.

Users can access their drafts from list views and resume their work at any time. Since the Drafts are saved in a separate module, they do not influence reports or processes of the target module. Drafts are excluded from these processes until they are converted to regular records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Draft Records is a valuable plugin for any SugarCRM user who wants to save time and effort when creating or updating records in SugarCRM. It is especially useful for users who work on complex or lengthy records, or who face frequent interruptions or distractions. By using Draft Records, users can improve their productivity and efficiency.

The plugin works on the following modules out of the box:

  • Accounts
  • Contacts
  • Tasks
  • Opportunities
  • Products
  • Quotes
  • Bugs
  • Cases
  • Leads
  • Project
  • ProjectTask
  • Prospects
  • ProspectLists
  • KBContents
  • Notes
  • PurchasedLineItems
  • Purchases
  • Escalations
  • Calls
  • Meetings
  • Shifts
  • Contracts
  • Tags

You can add your own custom modules or remove modules by manipulating the dropdown draft_modules_list through the Dropdown Editor in Administration.
