I have installed the v 2.9.2 which is the correct version for 6.5.22. The database crashes and the above error shows up

It sounds like the Sugar installer didn't complete correctly which usually happens when it runs into insufficient file permissions. I'd advise adjusting the file permissions as needed for your server and then try installing again. This is the script that I suggest using for fixing permissions: http://www.shanedowling.com/sugarcrm-permissions-script/
Also make sure that config_override.php is writable for at least the time that you are doing the install. To be safe, after install go to Admin->Repair and run a Quick Repair & Rebuild. Then execute any SQL that gets generated.
