Hi Jason,
We would like to create custom layouts based on role. Do I have to upgrade SecuritySuite that comes with SuiteCRM to get this functionality?

Hi RC,
That is correct. You can start a trial here and download/install the SuiteCRM version. Then you can go to Studio, click on the Layouts folder on the left outline for any module, and create a new custom layout for any of your security groups. Studio will then refresh. After it refreshes you will have a new folder for that security group under the Layouts folder. Alter the layout as needed and deploy.

Sorry, I'm not. But you can also reach me at solutions@eggsurplus.com. For licensing, it's for unlimited users and you can use it for test and dev sites as well. Only limit is 1 production site. It's either a yearly or monthly recurring subscription and if you decide to cancel or if the subscription expires then SecuritySuite will no longer function as it did. No data will be lost, but security will fall back to owner rights instead of group rights.
