#3209 - Layouts are gone
Dear Jason,
we are using the paid version of SecurityGroups - Full Edition, V 2.9.5. After the upgrade from SuiteCRM 7.7.9 to 7.9.2, all layouts in studio disappeared.
Upgrading Security Suite to the latest version produces a white screen of death and renders SuiteCRM completely unusable.
Is there any way to restore the layouts or upgrade in a safe way?

Hi Ingo,
SecuritySuite requires having the same version installed for whichever version you are upgrading to. In this case you need the 7.9.2 SuiteCRM version of SecuritySuite. That is currently being worked on and will be done within the day. There isn't a way around it since the upgrade has already been done. I can send you a copy sooner than later (a few hours), but it won't be fully tested yet. Will that work?

Dear Jason,
the new version reports compatibility issues and refuses to install.
Our SuiteCRM is Version 7.9.2 / Sugar Version 6.5.24 (Build 509)
Is there a way to make SuiteCRM and the Security Suite compatible?

Please download the 7.9.2 again. The version I uploaded earlier was for the 6.5.26 version. That has been fixed and should install just fine now.

Dear Jason,
I just tried to install the updated 7.9.2 release of the security suite on a cloned instance of our productive system.
Installation ends with a white screen after accepting license dialogue. I can see (for half a second) that the installation routine is doing something with the database tables... and then - bang. Nothing, CRM is dead. Just a white screen with a 500 Internal Server Error in the background (reported by Firebug).
I cleaned all log files before starting the installation, therefore only the entries concerning the upgrade are logged.
As this might effect other users, too, we should investigate that a bit further.
I saved the logs php_error.log and suitecrm.log and need your support. What do you suggest?

I apologize for the continued issues here. 7.9.3 and now 7.9.4 were just released this week. I'm wondering if there is something going on in general with the framework that could be causing issues with module installs. I'm working on recreating your issue right now. If you could email me those log files to solutions @ eggsurplus . com (no spaces) that would be appreciated.

One reason I see this issue happen is due to file permissions that caused files not to copy correctly. Since it is a new test site there is a good chance of that being the case here. I suggest tweaking that and even just making it wide open since it is a local test site. Otherwise, here is a script to help set it correctly: https://shanedowling.com/sugarcrm-permissions-script
